A fun, community-minded skill-based sea kayak symposium for all levels.
It's held at Slow Boat Farm in Wahkiakum County, WA. Courses include
BCU trainings, assessments, and Coach 2 course; Greenland paddling, rolling, and
paddle carving; a surf class, a canoe class, games, and a paddle-up Farmers Market.
Guest coaches come from the UK, the Netherlands, and around the country.

August 22(9am - 4pm): Coast Guard Open House and Port of Astoria Air Fair
Planned activities include the famous car drop, paraglide demonstrations,
flyovers, and a rock climbing wall. Displays include several aircraft and
multiple interactive exhibits. A Crafts Fair will be held in the yellow hangar.
Lunch sold 10am - 3pm and proceeds will fund the Coast Guard Spouses Association's
annual scholarship, Thanksgiving Basket Food Drive, and children's programs.
